TRIALS
1. Cost & Format
- 1.1 Cost: $40
- 1.2 Format: Round Robin 2 Frames (1 break each)
2. Dress Code
Collared shirt, black slacks and all black enclosed shoes must be worn. Any player not meeting these requirements will be refused permission to compete, unless committee approval has been sought prior to trial.
3. Start Time
The first round will commence at 12:00PM. All competitors are required to be present for the Player's Meeting at 11:30AM.
4. Criteria to be eligible to trial
The following criteria are required to be eligible to trial:
- 4.1 Be financially registered prior to the trial and be a player registered to a team in the current season of pool when the trials are occurring and playing in the season in which the representative team competition is scheduled to play.
- 4.2 Have played at least 40% of available frames in the previous year.
- 4.3 Players are responsible for ensuring they meet the criteria prior to Trialing. If a player qualifies who has not met these or the event criteria the committee will deem them ineligible and the next in line from the Trial will be called upon (they will not be eligible for a refund of the Trial event fee).
5. Player who leaves the trial early
Any player leaving the trial early will incur a 1 year ban from any representative position and forfeit their entry fee.
6. Player withdrawing during the Trial
If a player has pulled out midway that player will be deemed to have forfeited all matches for the day. All opponents played or not will receive automatic 2-0 win.
7. Names drawn after the morning trial
The trialists will be given a draw at the beginning of the day and will be required to play ALL matches.
8. Groups
If entries are 13 or over players will be split into 2 or more groups and seeded by the Tournament Director.
9. Tie Break
If any players are tied the following will apply:
- 9.1 Head-to-Head frame score
- 9.2 Head-to-Head vs other players, starting from the highest placed player and working down until the tie is broken
- 9.3 If a tie remains, there will be a playoff – best out of three
TOP 16 CHAMPIONSHIPS
1. Criteria
Invites will be sent to the top 16 placed players from the ladder at the completion of Season 1 in their respective grades.
2. Event Format
If there are 16 entries:
- Open - 2 Frame Round Robin (1 break each)
- B Open, C Grade & Ladies - 1 Frame Round Robin
Start Times:
Open - 6:30pm
B Open, C Grade & Ladies - 7:00pm
Top 3 will contest the finals wherever there are 16 entrants. All finals will be best of 5.
3. Cost
$40 per player
4. Prize Money
Where there are 16 entrants, prize money will be divided as follows:
- 1st - $280
- 2nd - $150
- Semi Finalists - $40 x 2
5. Date
Events will be held on Monday nights
6. Early departure penalty
Any player leaving the trial early will incur a 1 year ban from any representative position and forfeit their entry fee.
OPEN GRADE SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP
1. Criteria
All registered members and "Race to 11" competitors
2. Event Format
2 Day Event
- Day 1 - Round Robin - seeded groups
- Day 2 - Top 32 play off in match play
3. Cost
- A Grade - $40
- B Grade - $30
- C Grade - $20
4. Prize Money
Prize money & trophies will be given at presentation night for:
- Winner Prize money + Trophy
- Runner Up prize money + Trophy
- Semi Finalists prize money
- Top A, B, C prize money + Trophy
- Top Lady prize money + Trophy
Note: Winners/Runners-up will not receive the "Top A, B, C" also.
SCOTCH DOUBLES
Open Division
- 1. Criteria: Any grade – At least one player must be a registered B&D member or Race to 11 competitor
- 2. Event Format: Round Robin 2 Frames (1 break each team)
- 3. Cost: $40 per team
- 4. Finals: Top 3 teams contest finals. Best of 3
Blind Division
- 1. Criteria: Any grade – At least one player must be a registered B&D member or Race to 11 competitor
- 2. Event Format: Round Robin 2 Frames (1 break each team)
- 3. Cost: $40 per team
- 4. Finals: Top 3 teams contest finals. Best of 3
Mixed Division
- 1. Criteria: 1 male, 1 female – At least one player must be a registered B&D member or Race to 11 competitor
- 2. Event Format: Round Robin 2 Frames (1 break each team)
- 3. Cost: $40 per team
- 4. Finals: Top 3 teams contest finals. Best of 3
OTHER REPRESENTATIVE COMPETITIONS
Brisbane & District association may enter other competitions such as City Invitational and Supreme Competition. For these competitions the committee will select the players to represent, providing that they meet the criteria to represent for Brisbane & Districts.
RACE TO 11 - P&P BILLIARDS & SNOOKER
📍 Venue: 1001 Ipswich Rd, Moorooka QLD 4105
- 1. Maximum 14 players
- 2. Cost - Playoff nights if required $20/player, Administrative fee $20/player one off and $25/match ($10 table hire, $15 to B&D account)
- 3. Night of Play – Wednesday 7pm to 10:10pm
- 4. 20 match season + playoff if required
- 5. 2 blocks of 7 – play home & away
- 6. Format – Race to 11 (3hr Timed matches with 10 min rest break allowance)
- 7. Prize money - 1st $550, 2nd $300, 3rd $200, 4th $150, 5th $100
STANDARD TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
"Welcome players & good luck in today's event."
- Ensure sheets are signed by both players and returned to the Tournament Director, not left on the tables.
- Let the director know if there is any reason why you need to leave early, in case the draw can be altered accordingly.
- Once side chosen, frame already broken or match commenced side selection cannot be changed.
- Please play in a timely manner to ensure event finishes on time.
- Please call the Tournament Director to watch any shot that you require, split hits, fouls, etc...
